ARDOT to host 2 public meetings in area in August

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) will conduct several public meetings across the state to seek input on an update to the federally required Statewide Public Transit Coordination Plan. In our region, meetings are scheduled for two p.m. Wednesday, August 10th at the Ark-Tex Council of Governments building, located at 4808 Elizabeth Street in Texarkana, Texas.  A second meeting will be held Friday, August 12th, beginning at 9:30 A.M. in the Transportation Depot at Hot Springs.

Public transit coordination provides an opportunity to identify mobility needs in Arkansas and develop a consensus on how to meet those needs. The updated Transit Coordination Plan will allow ARDOT and its transit partners to further strengthen their resource management capabilities.
