Area Minister Retiring After 34 Years

A longtime southwest Arkansas minister has retired. Tommy Mounts has officially stepped down as minister of the Murfreesboro Church of Christ. Mounts, a Dierks native, has spent more than the past 34 years at Murfreesboro but was involved with several churches along the way.

Mounts says he will miss getting to preach but is looking forward to having family time and being able to watch football this fall.

RJ Tracy has been named to replace Mounts at Murfreesboro.
