Area Schools Considering Resuming Sports

With last week’s announcement from Governor Asa Hutchinson that the ban on team sports would be lifted beginning June 1st with some restrictions and guidelines still in place, area school districts are in the planning stages for next month.

Dierks High School officials say the football staff will make an announcement tomorrow concerning workouts for individuals on the junior and senior high football teams.

At Nashville, coach Mike Volarvich is monitoring updates from the governor’s office as well as the Arkansas Activities Association and is waiting for more information to be released before announcing a definite summer schedule for the Scrappers.
