Area trash routes affected by Thanksgiving holiday

Trash routes in Pike and Hempstead counties are still being affected by last week’s Thanksgiving holiday. In Pike County, the rural trash routes for this week will run one day behind the normal schedule. In Hempstead County, the road and sanitation departments are closed today, Trash routes for today and Tuesday will be both be made tomorrow.
