Arkansas Activities Association Announces Change in Football Conferences

The Arkansas Activities Association met Tuesday morning in Little Rock to finalize the high school football conference selections for next year.

In the 7-4A division, which includes Nashville, changes made include Robinson, Bauxite, and Harmony Grove leaving the 7th conference with Robinson also moving up to the 5A division. Taking their spots include Waldron, Mena, and Genoa Central.

For the 2022-2024 cycle 2A football has been consolidated from having 6 conferences down to 4. Teams in southwest Arkansas will now become the conference 3-2A. This takes the conference from 5 schools participating to 7. Those added to this conference include Poyen & Mount Ida.
