Arkansas Spring Sports Officially Over

The Arkansas Activities Association officially ended all spring activities for public schools Thursday afternoon.

In making the announcement, Lance Taylor, Executive Director of the “Triple A”, said his organization sympathizes with students, coaches, parents, communities and especially the graduating seniors but understands the cancellation will allow the state to collectively focus on everyone’s health and safety.

Taylor said the decision to cancel all remaining events for the school year came after the activities association had multiple conversations with the Arkansas Department of Health, governor’s office and the Department of Education.

In addition to all spring activities, the cancellation also includes all state championship games, the Arkansas High School Coaches Association Clinic and the All-Star games this summer.
