NHS 2024 Graduation Ceremony

Sunday, the Nashville School District held their 2024 Graduation Ceremony. With standing room only, the graduates were surrounded by family and friends on their special day. 

Nashville High School Principal Ashley Riggs made a special presentation to the graduates. 

Salutatorian Olivia Dean, stated as graduates of the Nashville High School their teachers and role models have poured themselves into the students’ education, providing students with the knowledge they need to succeed.

Valedictorian and Senior Class President Luis Maya II expressed that he could not be more honored and filled with pride to address the class of 2024.

School Counselor Beverly Tedford reported that collectively this graduating class received $58,850 dollars in local scholarships, $1,086,668 in academic scholarships, $35,500 in athletic, band, and other scholarships, $976,000 in state scholarships, and $820,000 in military offers which makes it a grand total of $2,977,018 dollars. Tedford added that the students have earned an impressive amount of money to help them on their future journey.

LaDonna Curtis, who announced that she will be ending her career as a Scrapper faculty member, was selected to do the faculty charge to the graduates.

In conclusion of the ceremony Principal Riggs along with Board of Education President Tem Gunter presented diplomas to all of the graduates of 2024.
