Ashdown Police Department Announces Arrests in Child Abuse Case
The Ashdown Police Department has made significant progress in a disturbing child abuse case, with three individuals arrested in connection to the abuse of a 4-year-old juvenile victim. It was reported that on January 22, 2025, Breiana Pack, Jaquasha Thomas, and Shania Chipps were taken into custody.
Breiana Pack has been charged with Domestic Battery in the 1st Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, while Jaquasha Thomas and Shania Chipps face charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
The investigation began after the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline reportedly alerted authorities to suspected child abuse. The Ashdown Police Department quickly responded and conducted a thorough investigation that led to the identification and subsequent arrests of the suspects.
Ashdown Police Chief Boyd Kennemore expressed the department’s commitment to safeguarding the community’s children, stating, “The safety and well-being of their community’s children is their top priority.
Chipps and Thomas are currently being held at the Little River County Detention Center, awaiting their first appearance. Pack is being held in Texarkana, Texas, and is awaiting extradition. As with all criminal cases, the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
