Ashdown Police Department Investigates Stabbing and Shooting Incident; Suspect at Large
The Ashdown Police Department is actively investigating a violent stabbing and shooting incident that occurred early yesterday morning in the 500 block of S. Park Avenue. It was reported that Officers responded to a disturbance call at a local residence, where they discovered a victim who had been seriously injured.
Shortly after the initial call, authorities learned that the victim had been transported to Little River Memorial Hospital for treatment. The victim’s injuries are believed to be connected to the violent altercation.
As reported, the primary suspect in this case has been identified as 49-year-old Maurice Price, a male resident of Ashdown. Price is wanted on a felony warrant for Battery in the First Degree and is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution, as Price remains at large.
The Ashdown Police Department is requesting that anyone with information regarding Maurice Price’s whereabouts contact the department immediately. Community members are strongly advised not to approach Price and instead report any sightings directly to law enforcement.
