Attempted ATM theft under investigation
An early Thursday morning attempted theft of the Arvest Bank ATM machine in Nashville has led to the arrest of one person. Police Chief Amy Marion said officers received a call around 3:15 yesterday morning from Arvest Bank security, reporting the incident. Officers Jason Icenhower and David Galvan, along with Howard County Deputy Kevin Rodgers all responded to the call. Upon arrival, authorities said they found the ATM had been destroyed, but attempts to get inside the unit were unsuccessful.
Nashville Investigator Tim Bowlin received camera footage of the incident, which showed five suspects and the vehicle involved.
Surrounding law enforcement agencies were notified of the incident and given a vehicle description with a license plate number. Chief Marion said the vehicle had been stolen from Fouke and was seen at a Texarkana, Texas ATM at approximately 4:40 A.M. Texarkana officers drove up on the suspects, with four of the five individuals fleeing the area on foot. Texarkana officers were able to detain the 5th suspect. he has been identified as 22 year old Timothy Stuckey, Jr., of Texarkana.
Chief Marion said the investigation is ongoing.
