Authorities respond to self inflicted gunshot victim

A 15 year old female has died from injuries received during a self inflicted gunshot.  Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins said his department received a 911 call from the victim’s grandmother, First responders and investigators responded to a residence on Pump Springs Road, just north of Nashville, and located the juvenile female on the bathroom floor.  Sheriff McJunkins said the victim had an injury from a self inflicted gunshot.  EMS provided treatment on the scene and transported her to Howard Memorial Hospital.  She was  transported by helicopter, to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little rock, where she later died from her injuries.
