Awards Given by Coach Perez at the Annual Rotary Club Banquet

The 2023 Nashville Scrapper football team was honored Saturday night during the annual Rotary Club Banquet. This week we will highlight some of the players that were recognized at this year’s banquet. 

Senior Jacob Goss was awarded with the Senior Award which was presented by Coach Eric Perez. Perez said Goss took a lot of honor and dignity in doing his job, not just in the passing game but especially in the blocking game.

Perez took a moment to speak on Senior Jordan Jones, who was also awarded the Senior Award. 

Other awards that were presented by Coach Perez were: the Senior Award to manager Daylan Smith and the 7-4A All State Outstanding Receiver Award to Junior Kasen Morgan.

Perez mentioned that he will be taking over as the Assistant Principal at NHS, and he talked about what he is going to miss the most about coaching.

Perez concluded the night by encouraging the players and expressed what it means to be a Scrapper. Perez said the game of football it’s not just about who can score the most touchdowns, it’s bigger than that but it’s about the lessons you learn in life.
