A new patrol officer has been hired to serve the city of Mineral Springs. Police Chief Jeff Witherspoon says that Jonathan Dykes of Mineral Springs started work on Monday, January 14th. He will begin basic training on April 28th in Camden. He also serves on the local fire department and is currently a jailer for the county.
