Public Works Director Larry Dunaway told the city council at Monday’s meeting that the city of Nashville has been approved for $250,000 of State Aid City Street funds, which is the maximum amount allowed by the State Aid Street Committee’s adopted rules for an overlay project. Street overlay projects will include areas of south Main Street, Leslie Street, Sypert Street, north and south Pine Street, Elm Street, 8th Street, 4th Street and Mount Pleasant Drive. The project will require bids before construction dates can be set.
