Threat Made by Student at Dierks High School

The administration of the Dierks School District would like to notify students, parents, and patrons of a verbal threat that was made at Dierks High School by a student on Tuesday, January 29th.

The threat was handled appropriately by school officials and local law enforcement. Dierks Police Chief Bryan White says officer John McKee responded to the incident and took the juvenile to a holding facility in Texarkana. The juvenile was scheduled to appear in court in Howard County today (January 30).

Dierks School administrators say they continue to make safety and security a top priority.
