The Howard Memorial Hospital Foundation 14th annual Gala will be held on Saturday, February 23rd. New Foundation Director Terrica Hendrix talked about the upcoming event at the Nashville Rotary club meeting on Wednesday. Hendrix said it is also a celebration of the hospital’s 70th anniversary. The Gala has been moved to the former Brookshire’s location in Nashville to allow for additional space. Activities will include dinner, a live band, raffle and silent auction. Funds raised from the event will help fund the purchase of a Piccolo Chemistry Analyzer for the emergency department. Director Steven May said this new tool will decrease the waiting time for results, enabling physicians to obtain a faster diagnosis. The machine will assist HMH in achieving their goal of transferring patients to higher level of care within 120 minutes of arrival.
