Information released from U.S. Attorney Joseph D. Brown of the Eastern District of Texas shows that a total of twenty seven Houston residents have been indicted and arrested as the result of an investigation into ATM robberies. The case has been investigated by several agencies, including the Nashville Police Department due to a local ATM robbery at the Regions Bank branch on south 4th Street last June. The report stated the robberies happened from August 2017 to January 2019 and the defendants are alleged to have conspired with each other to commit the robberies as technicians attempted to service the machines.
The FBI has led the investigation which noted that estimated losses to financial institutions are believed to be approximately $2,779,000. Four suspects still remain at large.
