The Nashville City Council has approved the hire of a new code enforcement officer. David Riggs will fill the open position and attend a training school in the next few weeks. He will have a starting salary of $30,000.
Mayor Billy Ray Jones also announced at Monday’s meeting that two applications have been received for the position of Fire Marshall to replace Jerry Harwell. Harwell’s son Health Harwell and also Justin Thornton will be interviewed on March 11th.
