City of Nashville Moves Forward with Funding for Water Meter Project

The Nashville City Council has passed a resolution to move forward with a $411,000 loan, obtained through the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. The loan will assist the public works department in purchasing and installing the remaining number of water meters over to digital read meters. The city spent about $120,000 last year, over 700 residential meters have been installed.

Dunaway also said the fourth street sidewalk proposal had been approved. This project will run from Lockesburg Street to Sypert Street, including a crosswalk at Sunset Street. The project is expected to go to bid soon.
