Additional Fiber Service Possible for City of Nashville

Bill Craig, the immediate past president of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, recently gave an update on the possibility of additional fiber internet service to the city of Nashville.

Southwest Arkansas Telephone Co-Op continues to seek business customers that would agree to a pre-construction commitment. There are no financial commitments up-front, only that a business would use the service for three years once available. Craig says a total of 24 businesses have signed up, with 18 of those on the initial route proposal. At least 40 businesses are preferred, in order for construction to begin.

SWAT also needs business customers in order to be able to later bring service options to residential customers.
