Murfreesboro City Council Resignation

A Murfreesboro City Council member has been recognized for their years of service. Mayor Rodney Fagan recognized Debbie Shukers at this week’s meeting with a plaque of appreciation for her 8 years of service. She has resigned from position one in the South ward due to family health issues.

During the board’s monthly meeting, the council amended an ordinance that provides clarification to the town’s clean-up laws and associated fines. The council also approved funding to outfit a police car.
