AR Courts and Community Initiative

Circuit Judge Charles Yeargan talked to the Nashville Rotary club on Wednesday about an out-reach program offered through the Arkansas Courts and Community Initiative. The program is working to engage communities in a conversation regarding the foundations of our democracy. Judge Yeargan began his 23rd year on the bench this year. He says in a recent national survey, only one in five people could name the three branches of government. The out-reach program seeks to improve basic understanding of civics in Arkansas.
