The Nashville Rotary club heard an update on the UA Cossatot Rotaract club at their weekly meeting on Wednesday, May 22. Dustin Roberts, Erika Buenrostro and J Hernandez presented information on getting the club started during the past year and future goals of growing the program. Roberts and Buenrostro are co-sponsors of Rotaract. Hernandez is a 2018 Nashville High School graduate and is president of the Rotaract club. Rotaract is a Rotary youth program for people ages 18 to 30, mainly offered at colleges and universities. It is available to all students of UA Cossatot on the Ashdown, DeQueen, and Nashville campuses. During the past year they have assisted in several Rotary and UA Cossatot projects to help different community needs.
Members of the Nashville Rotary club offered their assistance and look forward to working on future projects with Rotaract members.
