SWAT to Move Forward with Fiber Line Project to Nashville

Southwest Arkansas Telephone Co-Op of Texarkana will proceed with bringing high speed fiber internet service to the city of Nashville. Chamber of Commerce Director Mike Reese says the company has received the final contract estimates and are positive the project will remain in line with their figures. The internet will be available to businesses only during this phase of the project. Around 50 to 70 businesses signed a pre-construction commitment. The service could be offered to residential customers at a later date. The company is expected to make a formal announcement about the project this week.
