State Representative Danny Watson presented an Arkansas House of Representatives citation to local historian and retired archivist Peggy Lloyd on Tuesday, June 25. The citation noted that Lloyd is being honored for her continued commitment to preserving, promoting, and enhancing Arkansas history. She was also recognized for her important role in helping the Nevada County Depot and Museum obtain the Elkins Ferry and Prairie D’Ane Civil War battlefield. Lloyd is a previous director and archival manager of the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives.
