Nashville School Board Approves Track Resurface Bid

The Nashville School Board approved a bid from GeoSurfaces, Inc. to repair and install a new track surface at a special meeting held on Monday. The total cost of the project will be $241,250, which includes additional funds to replace the high jump area and extend the triple and long jump runways.

Board members also hired Connie Echols as a high school English teacher to replace Krisanna Miller, who was hired last month as a literacy coach. Echols previously worked 14 years for the district, also as K-12 Literacy Specialist for the DeQueen-Mena Educational Cooperative and as a public school program advisor in Curriculum Support Services for the Arkansas Department of Education.
