Volunteers assist in cleaning up Dierks City Park

Several volunteers helped to clean up the Dierks City Park on Saturday. Mayor Ronnie Cogburn says the entrances to the park were extremely washed out and required several truckloads of gravel to repair. He says the flood damaged several roads and washed out culverts. The Holly Creek bridge on south Arkansas Avenue remains closed at this time. The mayor says it cannot be re-opened until the county makes repairs and is approved by state bridge inspectors.

Cogburn says bottled water is still available at the city municipal building for anyone in need. He thanks everyone that donated water and that has given assistance to the city.
