A fundraiser for the Murfreesboro City Park is planned for September 8th. City officials say the park needs a new mower and that funds raised will also support other park projects. The event will also include a silent auction. The park fundraiser will be held at the CADC Senior Adult Center in Murfreesboro.
Mayor Rodney Fagan also reports that the fun park grant has been submitted. He hopes to find out in October if that project is approved or not. The grant would add additional handicap access and park playground equipment.
