The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has released the 2019 fishing and trout fishing guidebook, which is being distributed to AGFC offices and license dealers around the state. The guide is free and lists several changes for the 2019 season. Those include the Removal of the restriction on common carp as bait on Dierks Lake in Howard County and De Queen Lake in Sevier County. All possession of live Asian carp is now prohibited. The application period for 2020 trophy alligator gar tags (required for harvesting an alligator gar longer than 36 inches) will be Nov. 1-Dec. 31, 2019.
