Arrest Made Following Search Warrant Served in Hope

A Hempstead County man has been arrested on several drug charges following the execution of a search warrant on a residence at 1712 W. Avenue B in Hope. Agents with the 8th North Task Force, Hope Police Department and Hempstead County deputies recovered a defaced .380 Caliber Handgun (serial Number Filed off), Digital Scales, bag containing suspected Methamphetamine glass pipe, camera and video surveillance equipment, two monitors, 220.00 in cash, two other handguns and several rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Thirty five year old Tommy Joe Cole was charged with Possession with Purpose to Deliver (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Maintaining a Drug Premises, Unlawful Use of Communication Device, (3 Counts) Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Defaced Firearm. Cole was turned over to the on-duty jail staff. And will be held for a first appearance.
