Cookie Dough Fundraiser a Success at NES

Some students at Nashville Elementary School received rewards for their fundraising efforts on Tuesday. Principal Rick Rebsamen says the fundraiser not only helps raise money for the school, but also gives back to the students.

“I want to thank the community for all of the support. We conduct an annual cookie dough fundraiser and it is a way that we can do things here at the school. We make a percentage of the profits and the students are able to reap benefits as well. The prizes include pizza parties and limo rides, including some large prizes at the end of the fundraising period (drone and kindle fire). They get a lot of neat incentives that later help support our mega day at the end of the year.”

Principal Rebsamen also says that the funds are used for projects that will assist the students with curriculum.

“The community has stepped up every year. We also use the funds to purchase technology. NES recently updated our library with some of those funds. We look for ways to support our curriculum.”

NES continues to move towards one to one devices and providing students with the latest in technology.
