The Howard County Farmer’s Market will hold a cooking matters class for teens, starting next Tuesday. The class will be offered on Tuesdays from June 11th to June 23rd from 10 to 1. Market Manager Julio Fuentes says it is a free six class program that will give participants the skills to garden, shop for, and prepare healthier meals for themselves and their families.
Teens can also learn how to prepare recipes with a limited food budget. Fuentes says it is important to not only offer healthy choices, but assist individuals in how to use those ingredients.
