Dierks City Council to Consider Management of North Howard Rural Water

Dierks city council members have agreed to discussions about taking over the management and finances of the North Howard County Rural Water Association.

Mayor Ronnie Cogburn says the council has signed a resolution to at least enter discussions about the consideration of the transfer and assumption of their association assets and liabilities. The city has requested information regarding finances, billing reports, and repair and maintenance issues.

Mayor Cogburn says they will be looking at several aspects to make sure that the assumption would not pose a hardship and also the financing of needed repairs.
