The boil order for the city of Dierks is expected to continue through early next week. Bottled water is available at the fire department, Dierks municipal building, and the senior adult center for anyone in need. If you would like to donate bottled water, Farmers Insurance in Nashville is a collection site.
The North Howard Rural Water boil order has been lifted. The boil order for rural water customers in the Green Plains area will continue through this weekend.
Mayor Ronnie Cogburn says that the south Arkansas Avenue bridge at Holly Creek has been completely closed.
The Dierks city park received significant damage following Tuesday morning’s flood. The park will host the town’s annual Pine Tree Festival in just a couple of weeks. A clean up day is planned for Saturday July 20 morning at 9:00. Several groups have already been working to clean up the park.
