SWEPCO recently presented a $1,000 check to the Dierks Police Department in southwestern Arkansas for the purchase of a pepper gun. The non-lethal device gives patrol officers an extra layer of protection when subduing a combative suspect.

The annual Dierks High School scholarship banquet will take place this evening at 6:00 in the cafeteria (April 30). Due to the size of the Senior class and a large number of generous donors, extra seating will be very limited.
