The Dierks School Board met this week for their regular monthly meeting.
A motion by Brad Garner and seconded by Wendell Garner passed unanimously to extend contracts for both Lori Finley, Elementary Principal, and Jeff Jones, High School Principal for the 2019-2020 school year as per the salary schedule.
A motion by Brad Garner and seconded by Wendell Garner passed unanimously to approve the Dierks School District Community Service Learning (CSL) 2018-2019 Plan.
Superintendent Jody Cowart says the board also approved next year’s school calendar and discussed future bus purchases.
Dierks JoAnn Walters Elementary School first through third grade students are participating in a pilot program that allows teachers assess students’ oral reading fluency.
