The Arkansas Forestry Commission is conducting several prescribed burns across the state. A backing fire of 15 acres is planned today in Pike County, 5 miles south of Delight. Another backing fire of 50 acres took place north of Dierks yesterday. Wildfire danger remains low, however always use caution when burning.
The AFC has also planned a wildland firefighting class in Pike County on Monday, March 25th at the Kirby School. For more information, call 870-828-0862.
