The Glenwood City Council met this week to discuss water rates. The council has formed a committee to study the issue and recommend three options on how to move forward. City leaders have been studying figures on what it costs the city to operate the system and produce treated water. The last water rate study was conducted in November of 2018. Glenwood Mayor B. T. Smith reminded citizens that are hooked up to the sewer system to please check the sewer caps. He said that a large amount of rain water is getting into the lines.
