Bill Couch, Partner with Welch, Couch CPA presented the results of Howard Memorial Hospital’s annual audit at Tuesday’s Board of Directors meeting. Couch said the hospital had a good year financially with no audit adjustments. Compared to nine other similar hospitals, HMH ranked first on productivity, second on revenue per patient and third on accounts receivable management.
Dr. Luis Barandiaran and the surgical services team has reached a milestone of 10,000 cases performed at HMH since he began practicing surgery at the local hospital. CEO Debra Wright says having a successful surgery program sets HMH apart from most of the Critical Access Hospitals in Arkansas. Dr. B’s years of dedication and support are greatly appreciated as well as that of the surgical services staff. A chamber coffee has been planned for April 18th at 3 p.m. in the hospital’s lobby to congratulate all of them.
