The Hempstead County Historical Society will be holding a meeting on Tuesday evening July 23, 2019 at the Presbyterian Church in Washington, Arkansas at 7pm. Everyone is welcome. The guest speaker for the evening will be local historian Ed Talley of Washington, Arkansas. Talley has an amazing collection of various old newspapers from around the United States dating back as early as 1800. As part of the program, these items will be on display for everyone to view original newspapers from different decades and also be able to view some of the unique stories in each of them.
