The Hempstead County Tourism Task Force Committee has an exciting “assignment” for locals and tourists alike. This assignment falls under the heading of Hempstead County Tourist Destinations & Services.
The committee is making a list of tourist destinations in our county. (antique shops, Yerger Museum, Historic Washington, Proving Ground, President Clinton’s Birthplace Home, parks, etc. ) They are also making a list of service-oriented businesses (i.e. churches, libraries, lodging, restaurants, etc.) that would appeal to tourists.
As you are out & about during the Watermelon Festival weekend and the rest of this month, please take pictures of both (tourist destinations & service oriented businesses) & post them on Facebook using the hashtags #hempsteadcountytourism or #hempsteadcountyservices. Thank you for your help.
