Howard Memorial Hospital will hold a Diabetes and You Program starting April 30th. This class started in 2012 and has helped almost 300 participants better manage pre-diabetes and diabetes. Kim Turbeville is the program coordinator, along with two registered nurses: Dee Starr and Daniel Patterson.
The class includes a pre and post assessment along with many incentives and educational materials. Turbeville says the goal is to help individuals improve their overall health. Flexible hours are available and there is no charge for the class.
