The Howard Memorial Hospital Foundation presented a check to HMH for $46,732.68 for the purchase of a new lab machine Monday morning.
The proceeds came from the 14th Annual Gala – held on February 23 – and will be applied to the purchase of the Piccolo Xpress. The Piccolo Xpress is a compact, portable clinical chemistry system designed for on-site patient testing. The self-calibrating analyzer performs quality control checks on each sample, including onboard QC monitoring to ensure chemistry and instrument integrity for accurate result. HMH will be the only facility within a 50-mile radius to have this new, time-saving machine.
