HMH Offering Stop The Bleed Course to local groups

Howard Memorial Hospital offers many services to the community and is currently conducting a “Stop the Bleed” course for local organizations and businesses. The class teaches individuals about emergency first aid and how to treat major bleeding wounds due to accidents. This information can help save a life and stabilize someone until emergency services can arrive.

The latest class took place at the Howard County Fire Chiefs Association. Other stop the bleed classes have been conducted at the Rotary club, churches and other groups.

There is no charge to host or take the course. Anyone that would like to host a class may contact Gayla Beaird at 870-845-6941 or by email at gaylab@howardmemorial.com.
