HMH to Expand Rehab Services

The Howard Memorial Hospital board of directors has approved the expansion of the rehabilitation services with a unanimous vote. Hospital CEO Debra Wright said their attorney is working on a purchase agreement stating that the hospital will purchase the space as soon as it is vacated by home health.

A building committee has been formed to work on plans for a new facility for home health. The foundation board has selected Mark Bailey as architect. Paul Britt is the committee chairman.

The committee will also look at the idea of constructing shell space within the hospital building for future needs.
