The Dierks bridge on south Arkansas Avenue at Holly Creek is now officially open. A state bridge inspector said the bridge passed all DOT inspections on Monday. County Judge Kevin Smith says they were going to also make some minor additions, including some rocks/riprap on one side. Bids will open Wednesday for work on the Old Center Point Road bridge, which remains closed. Judge Smith says bids will be accepted for two weeks.
