Nashville’s Junior Scrapper Trap team number one won the AYSSP Junior State Championship on Friday at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Jacksonville Shooting Sports Complex. Nashville and Beebe reached the finals, with Ashdown winning third place.
Nashville Junior Scrapper Trap squad one includes Wren Washburn, Hayden Goodson, Gabe Hagler, Landon Dyer and Wade Wescott. They competed in a 64 team bracket shooting 6 rounds to win as State Champions. Three of the five participants are back to back State Champions including Washburn, Goodson, and Dyer.
This squad has competed in 7 tournaments this season and won 1st place in all. They competed in regionals and won 2nd place.
The senior Scrapper trap team advanced to the top 8 at Saturday’s state shooting event. Brayden Fritts of Nashville won Champion of Champions, finishing as the top shooter in the state in the senior division.
