Legacy Academy Purchases former Lockesburg Elementary campus

A private Christian school has purchased the former Lockesburg Elementary campus from the De Queen Public School District. Legacy Academy has purchased 34.7 acres, including the new gymnasium which had been previously utilized by the school. Legacy Academy has been operating for twelve years and will be able to accommodate additional students in the surrounding communities with a central school location at Lockesburg. Owners Chad and Jessica Gallagher say the building is in good shape and that no major renovations will be needed prior to school starting this fall.
