The Murfreesboro High School EAST Lab recently received a TechStart Explorer Award. Facilitator Stephanie Cox says that TechStart is a program through Facebook that is used to help explore technology in schools. Her class did a coding project last year and the award is presented if everyone completes the project. Because of their efforts, they also received a $1000 award.
The EAST initiative is education accelerated by service and technology. Students engage in critical thinking and creative problem-solving to change the world around them.
