Mineral Springs Man Arrested on Warrant for Rape

The Howard County Sheriff’s Department says a Mineral Springs man has been arrested on a warrant for rape.  46 year old Orlando Dominguez was arrested Sunday.  Sheriff Bryan McJunkins said the arrest came after deputies & investigators received information that Dominguez had sex with a female family member who is now an adult.  The sheriff said his department learned the crime had been taking place over a number of years..including when the female was a juvenile.

According to Sheriff McJunkins, his department first learned of the rape a year ago when another arrest was made from the same household for the rape of a minor child.  However, it wasn’t until the past few days that deputies were able to reopen that case and obtain new information that led to Dominguez’s arrest.

He is expected to make a first court appearance today with bond likely being set at that time
